    Tim Braden is a Process Chemist at Lilly in Indianapolis, IN working in Small Molecule Design and Development. Tim graduated from California State University at Sacramento in 1997. He worked for three years at Aerojet Fine Chemicals (now AMPAC Fine Chemicals) in California performing process development of highly hazardous processes including azide and diazomethane chemistry at pilot plant and production scale. During this time he worked on the team that developed two key azide reactions that are used in the commercial production of the influenza drug Tamiflu®. He moved to Lilly in Indianapolis in 2000 and began work primarily on early phase process development. He has been promoted four times at Lilly and for the last 10 years has been a part of the Continuous Processing group where he is currently responsible for the development and implementation of continuous flow processes to solve synthetic challenges and has helped shape the direction of a continuous flow processing strategy at Lilly. He is author of 15 scientific publications and 1 patent application.
